After the 3MWp solar power plant inaugurated at Faro airport in Portugal in 2022, SunMind is commissioning a solar power plant in France for the first time.

With a capacity of 365kWp, this power plant is composed of photovoltaic panels on the roof and parking lot shades deployed on the new site of VINCI Energies' Nuclear Division in Pierrelatte, a French commune located in the Drôme department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The building was built in synergy within the VINCI Group, with VINCI Immobilier, VINCI Construction (via Novelige), VINCI Concessions and VINCI Energies participating in the project.

Accelerating the energy transition in the regions is one of the pillars of VINCI Concessions' decarbonisation strategy, whose ambition is to put at their service the surplus photovoltaic electricity produced by the infrastructures of its network or by independent power plants such as the one deployed by SunMind in Pierrelatte.

Subsidiary of VINCI Concessions, SunMind's ambition is to unleash the solar potential of its customers by simplifying access to solar technologies and by positioning itself as a developer and third-party investor. In addition to the projects mentioned above, SunMind is currently developing a 100 MWp project in Sweden on the Stockholm-Skavsta airport site. Several hundred MWp projects are also under development in different European countries.

VINCI Concessions is an international player in transport infrastructure. We leverage our integrated model to design, finance, build, operate and maintain more than 90 airports, motorways and rail projects in 23 countries, through our subsidiaries VINCI Airports, VINCI Highways and VINCI Railways.
