VINCI Concessions is continuing its development in Sweden by opening the first international office of its subsidiary SunMind, based in Stockholm. The implementation of its 100 MWp photovoltaic project on the Stockholm-Skavsta airport site, which is already well under way, will help supply the municipality of Nyköping with renewable energy.

Other solar projects are planned, as VINCI Concessions' ambition in Sweden is to play a full part in the current dynamic regarding the development of renewable energies, and solar energy in particular, and to participate actively, through SunMind Sweden, in the APP market, of which Sweden is one of the most representative countries in Europe.

In addition to increasing energy efficiency measures and with the objective of achieving zero net carbon emissions across its infrastructure network by 2050, VINCI Concessions is committed to reducing the use of fossil fuels by massively increasing the production of solar electricity on infrastructure operated in 23 countries where over 1.2 GWp of potential capacity has been identified.

In the United States, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Portugal, France, the United Kingdom, Serbia and Japan, several solar power plants are already active in the VINCI Concessions network, with a total capacity of 36.5 GWp. And several new projects of more than 180 MWp are under development in airport, motorway or railway concessions in Greece, Portugal, Germany, Slovakia, France, Japan, Brazil or Mexico for example.
