Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev hails UTS’ positive contribution to road safety in Russia
United Toll Systems (UTS) operator company, subsidiary of VINCI Concessions, participated in a specialized exhibition of road industry achievements “Highway 2019” that took place in Yekaterinburg from 16 to 18 October.
Walking through the exhibition, Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, paid special attention to the big yellow van of the UTS Traffic Safety Inspectors service. After he examined the content of the car and studied all equipment that specialists use to assist drivers on the road, the Prime Minister noted the effectiveness of traffic safety inspector’s service on Russian toll roads. He proposed to study how to adopt toll roads’ safety experience for all federal roads throughout Russia.
The “Highway” exhibition is held annually to showcase new technologies in traffic safety provision and to discuss the implementation of smart transport systems, technologies and materials on Russian highways.
