COVID-19: VINCI Highways supports vulnerable families in colombia
In the context of the health emergency caused by the covid-19 epidemic, VINCI Highways (a VINCI Concession subsidiary) is continuing its efforts to support people on front line as well as its customers and other stakeholders. In Latin America, the Via 40 Express concession company, operating the Bogotá-Girardot road in Colombia, donated food baskets to more than 450 underprivileged families.
Thanks to an internal donation campaign conducted among Via 40 Express’ employees, baskets containing basic foodstuffs and hygiene products were offered to poor families from Soacha, Fusagasugá, Melgar and Girardot, municipalities located in territories where VINCI Highways operates and for which many other sociable and sustainable initiatives are regularly set up close to the inhabitants.
Via 40 Express’ teams continue to be fully mobilized to ensure the operation of the motorway and the safe transport of basic products, medicines and other essential resources for the Colombian population.
