To support emergency services, and particularly healthcare workers, in the context of the Covid-19 health crisis, teams from VINCI Highways have set up a number of measures to facilitate their travel.

In Greece, hospital staff in Patras who live on the northern coast of the Strait have been given transponders with one free return trip per day to use the Rion-Antirion bridge to reach the city’s three hospitals on the southern coast.

In Peru (Lima Expresa) and on the Isle of Wight (the Island’s road network), service cars and ambulances from the concessionary companies are available to transport carers, or to carry out meal deliveries or shopping for isolated people.

In London (Hounslow district road network) and Marseilles (Prado Tunnels), the concessionary companies have provided medical services with equipment such as masks, gloves and hydro-alcoholic gels.

In Slovakia, where VINCI Highways operates the R1 expressway, the concession company participated in the purchase of medical equipment for the three hospitals located along the motorway to enable doctors to operate under the best possible conditions.
