- VINCI Concessions completed the green project finance for the Deutschlandnetz Regional contract, an electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
- This project is underpinned by a 12-year contract to secure land, install and operate 106 ultra-fast* charging stations, which cover 828 charging points in 12 of the 16 German Bundesländer.
- This new contract has stepped up VINCI Concessions' development in the electric mobility infrastructure sector and represents a total investment of about €200 million.
After being awarded 3 lots in September 2023 by the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport Affairs, representing the Federal Republic of Germany, VINCI Concessions, successfully completed an innovative and tailored project financing of the Deutschlandnetz Regional contract for the development of ultra-fast charging stations throughout Germany.
This 12-year contract represents a total investment of about €200 million – subsidised in part by the granting authority – and covers the design, financing, construction, maintenance and operation of 828 charging points to be deployed in 106 ultra-fast* charging stations in 12 of the 16 German Bundeslände.
VINCI Concessions secured about €130 million of green project finance through a combination of €60 million of bridge loans and €70 million of senior term loan. This financing serves both the construction and operation of the project which demonstrates how VINCI Concessions can support the EV Charging Infrastructure sector by bringing its innovative project financing capabilities and expertise.
