More than 74 million passengers passed through the VINCI Airports network in Q1 2026, representing a 1.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025. This performance highlights the resilience and geographical diversity of the network in a context marked by geopolitical disruptions. While the conflict in the Middle East and tensions between China and Japan have locally impacted some airports, the overall effect on the global dynamics of the VINCI Airports network has remained limited, further confirming its robustness.

In Latin America, the airports in the network once again delivered excellent performance. In Brazil, Salvador Bahia airport recorded a remarkable double-digit traffic growth this quarter (+12 %) due to the expansion of services offered by airlines GOL, Azul, and LATAM, as well as strong demand for long-haul routes operated by TAP. In Mexico, growth continued with very positive momentum in Monterrey, driven primarily by domestic flights this quarter. In the Dominican Republic, the airports of the network recorded increased passenger numbers, with notable growth from Arajet at Santo Domingo. Costa Rica has solidified its international appeal. The only exception is Santiago Airport in Chile, where traffic has declined due to fleet allocation issues impacting SKY Airlines.

In Cabo Verde, the airports within the VINCI Airports network have recorded very positive growth momentum, with traffic increasing by 17 %. This performance was driven by the diversification of air connectivity offerings, including new routes operated by partner airlines such as easyJet and Transavia, with new winter-season connections from France, the United Kingdom, and Portugal.

In Europe, several airports in the VINCI Airports network maintained their growth trajectory. Belgrade airport continued to demonstrate dynamism, notably driven by the development of routes to Western Europe. At Edinburgh, traffic growth has remained robust, driven by Mediterranean destinations. Despite the impact of flight suspensions to the Middle East, Budapest airport continued to register high passenger numbers, driven by expanded offerings from Ryanair and easyJet and growing interest in destinations such as Italy, Spain, and France.

In Portugal, Lisbon airport has benefited from the surge in long-haul flights operated by TAP to Brazil and the United States. Meanwhile, Porto airport has reported strong traffic growth, supported by sustained increases in transatlantic connections as well as routes to Spain, the United Kingdom, and Italy.

Some airports faced less favourable market conditions. At London Gatwick, the reorganization of medium-haul offerings and cancellations related to the conflict in the Middle East have tempered the strong performance of easyJet and British Airways in the first quarter. Meanwhile, in France, domestic traffic, lastingly hindered by increased taxation, slowed the performance of regional platforms.

Finally, geopolitical tensions between China and Japan affected the overall results of Japanese airports. However, the regional market has remained dynamic, with traffic showing significant growth, particularly from South Korea.

SunMind, VINCI Concessions' subsidiary dedicated to renewable energy, has commissioned two new photovoltaic power plants at Madeira and Porto Santo airports in Portugal, marking a new step in VINCI Concessions' strategy to integrate renewable energy solutions across its infrastructure portfolio.

These projects illustrate an integrated approach combining infrastructure operation and energy production to support decarbonisation. The installations are based on two 15-year Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), enabling the direct supply of locally generated, low-carbon electricity to airport operations while contributing to the long-term stability and resilience of energy supply.

At Funchal Airport, a 1,4 MWp photovoltaic plant installed on carports will generate approximately 1.87 GWh annually, covering 26% of the airport’s electricity needs. The project includes 2,411 solar panels across 400 parking spaces, enhancing passenger comfort through shaded parking while avoiding around 930 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year.

At Porto Santo Airport, a 184 kWp ground-mounted installation will produce around 297 MWh annually, representing 24% of the airport’s electricity consumption and avoiding approximately 148 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year.

These projects are particularly relevant in island environments such as Madeira and Porto Santo, where energy systems rely on imported fuels and have limited interconnections. On-site solar generation therefore contributes to improving both energy resilience and the environmental performance of airport infrastructure.

The commissioning of these new plants follows SunMind’s first photovoltaic project in Portugal at Faro Airport commissioned in 2022. With three installations now in operation and further developments underway in the Azores, Porto and Lisbon, VINCI Concessions continues to scale a replicable model across its network, drawing on the combined expertise of SunMind and VINCI Airports. This approach supports the deployment of integrated, long-term renewable energy solutions tailored to infrastructure and aligned with partners’ decarbonisation objectives.

VINCI Highways, a subsidiary of VINCI Concessions, has signed an agreement with Macquarie Asia Infrastructure Fund 2, which is managed by Macquarie Asset Management, to acquire the Safeway Concessions portfolio, comprising nine toll highway concessions in the States of Andhra Pradesh, in south-east India, and Gujarat, in the west of the country. 

These nine concessions total nearly 700 kilometres of highway sections located on key axes of the national network, linking important industrial, agricultural and logistics areas: the sections in the State of Andhra Pradesh are located on the NH-16 corridor, part of the "Golden Quadrilateral" linking Kolkata to Chennai, one of the country's main transport routes. Gujarat's assets serve one of India's most industrialized States.

These highways are operated under TOT (Toll Operate Transfer) contracts with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), with contractual maturities ranging from 2048 to 2058. The concessionaire is remunerated through toll revenues generated by traffic.

The acquisition of a highway portfolio of this size and quality is a rare opportunity in a fast-growing market. It is perfectly in line with VINCI's long-term investment strategy in mobility infrastructure. 

At this stage, VINCI Highways has identified optimisation opportunities across the portfolio both financially and operationally (operational processes, road safety, environmental performance). Further opportunities are expected in toll digitalisation as India transitions to a free-flow system. In this regard, VINCI Highways has recognised expertise in the country through its subsidiary ViaPlus, which employs nearly 400 people in Hyderabad.

The transaction values Safeway Concessions based on an Enterprise Value of approximately 150 billion Indian rupees, at a multiple of around 15x Ebitda. The final amount of the transaction and the amount of the equity investment will be determined after usual adjustments at the closing date and finalization of the financial structuring of the transaction. 

The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant Indian authorities and financial closing is expected by the end of 2026.

VINCI Airports, shareholder of ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, is celebrating the 80^th anniversary of Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, a strategic asset within its global airport network and a key driver of economic, social and tourism development in Northern Portugal.

In 2025, Porto Airport handled 16.9 million passengers, its highest traffic level to date, confirming a sustained growth trajectory. With more than 120 direct destinations, the airport plays a central role in enhancing Portugal’s international connectivity and reinforcing the attractiveness of the north-west of the Iberian Peninsula.

On March 16, VINCI Airports officially inaugurated the new Operations Coordination Centre and the fully renovated runway at Porto Airport, in presence of the Portuguese Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro. Representing a €50 million investment, the largest ever made at the airport, the project was completed over 19 months and includes:

• Full runway resurfacing

• Modernisation of drainage systems

• Replacement of airfield lighting with LED technology

• Installation of a category II Instrument Landing System (ILS), enabling operations in low-visibility conditions.

These upgrades significantly enhance operational performance, safety and resilience, while supporting future traffic growth.

Besides, VINCI Airports is implementing a comprehensive modernisation programme at Porto Airport, focused on improving both operational efficiency and passenger experience. Key projects already delivered or underway include:

• Refurbishment of the departures area

• Expansion and renovation of the lounge (800 m², 200 seats)

• Modernisation of Fast Track services and reinforcement of priority lanes

• Deployment of Self Bag Drop 

• Expansion and modernisation of the Duty-Free store

• Creation of new waiting and entertainment areas, as well as pet relief areas

To address the expected increase in traffic in the coming years, an Airport Master Plan, including the construction of new boarding gates for domestic and international flights, has also been presented to the Government. Other major projects are also under consideration: a new maintenance hangar to be built by TAP airline and the future high-speed rail line planned by the Government. All these investments will further strengthen Porto airport’s strategic role in Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula.

Carole Grandjean is nominated as Human Resources Director of VINCI Concessions. She joins VINCI Concessions Executive Committee.

Carole Grandjean began her career within the BPCE network (talent management and HR development) before joining the Elior Group as HR Director for the Grand Est region.

A member of French parliament for Meurthe-et-Moselle from 2017 to 2024, she was appointed Deputy Minister in charge of Professional Teaching and Training in 2022.

In early 2024, she joined the Etam Group as Group HR Director.

Building on this strategic expertise and her vision of societal challenges, Carole Grandjean was appointed Human Resources Director of VINCI Concessions in March 2026, tasked with leading its HR policy.

The foundation stone of the new terminal complex at Budapest Airport was laid, marking a major milestone. The €1bn transformative investment aims at building the next-generation airport in Budapest, driving economic and tourism growth in Hungary and Central Europe.

Following an exceptional year in 2025, during which the airport welcomed nearly 20 million passengers, representing a +35% increase in traffic since VINCI Airports took over operations in 2023, after a joint investment with the State of Hungary, this large-scale project aims to meet the growing demands of air traffic – an increase of 10 million passengers is expected – and deliver world-class facilities tailored to the future needs of travellers.

This development program, supported by a total investment of €1 billion over the next 10 years, ranks among the most significant airport investment projects in Central Europe during the coming decade. 

The program includes:

• A new main terminal spanning 35,000 m², featuring centralized check-in facilities, optimized security screening areas, and integrated commercial spaces to create a seamless and enhanced passenger experience.
• A new 19,000 m² passenger pier along with the expansion of aircraft apron areas over 132,000 m², which will include 13 new aircraft stands and a dedicated de-icing area.
• Refurbishment of car parks, improvements to external and internal roads, and curbside upgrades to match the new centralized building.

In parallel, targeted improvements to Terminal 2 have already begun to ensure a smooth transition until the new facilities are delivered. These include reconfiguring the passenger check-in hall to expand space and add counters, upgrading security lanes for faster screening, and implementing advanced screening systems. Automatic gates have been reoriented, and a dedicated lane for passengers with reduced mobility, families, and Fast Track Lane users is being created. In addition, the area of Pier B will be expanded, providing even greater capacity for handling passengers arriving from non-Schengen areas.

Via Cristais, subsidiary of VINCI Highways, announces that it achieved the completion of the first phase of the transformation of the BR-040 corridor between Belo Horizonte (MG) and Cristalina (GO). Delivered four months ahead of schedule, this milestone marks a decisive step in restoring the corridor to its full role as a strategic national axis for Brazil, supporting road safety, regional mobility, and territorial growth.

A decisive transformation

Before Via Cristais took over operations in March 2025, the corridor faced limited maintenance and service levels no longer aligned with its strategic importance - and, more importantly, people’s safety. From day one, under the leadership of ANTT through an efficient transition phase, Via Cristais launched a decisive transformation programme, combining infrastructure investment with the immediate restoration of essential services:

• Major repavement works across the corridor to restore road quality, safety and driving comfort;
• 24/7 roadside assistance fully redeployed, ensuring continuous support for users;
• Traffic surveillance and incident response reinforced, securing reliability at all times;
• Maintenance and safety equipment upgraded, in line with the corridor’s national role.

Via Cristais delivered this first phase under real traffic conditions, without mobility restrictions, a more challenging condition especially near densely urbanized regions such as Belo Horizonte and Paracatu.

VINCI Highways standards deployed 

This rapid delivery was made possible by the VINCI Highways integrated model. In just a few months, Via Cristais recruited, structured and trained more than 400 employees, aligning teams with VINCI Highways’ international standards in safety, operations and customer service. At the same time, VINCI Highways started deploying its technological expertise on the concession, including advanced surveillance systems, connected inspection vehicles and real-time coordination tools. The transformation also embeds VINCI Highways’ environmental commitments: waste recovery processes, clean energy use at operational sites and resource-efficient maintenance practices are already in place, setting the trajectory toward long-term sustainability targets.

A key milestone toward modernisation and expansion

With this first phase completed ahead of schedule, the Belo Horizonte - Cristalina corridor now rests on a solid operational and infrastructure base. The corridor is ready to move into the next chapter of its transformation: an ambitious programme of modernisation, duplication and capacity expansion. These future investments will increase traffic capacity, improve flow and safety, and support the sustained growth of the Belo Horizonte metropolitan area and the regions connected by this strategic national corridor.

In 2025, VINCI Airports welcomed more than 334 million passengers, representing an additional 16 million travellers in one year (+5% compared to 2024). This strong growth reaffirms VINCI Airports' status as the world’s leading private airport operator and aligns with the overall upward trend in air traffic.

Beyond the annual results, the fourth quarter of 2025 also showed a traffic increase (+3.2%) compared to the same period in 2024, confirming robust momentum in several regions.

Several European airports continue to record very strong growth. The airports of Budapest and Edinburgh, the latest additions to the VINCI Airports network, deliver remarkable performances: Budapest airport is experiencing double-digit growth, driven by the dynamism of airlines easyJet, Ryanair, and Wizz Air across all their markets. Mediterranean connections, especially to Spain, Italy, Turkey, and Israel, are registering significant peaks. Meanwhile, Edinburgh airport shows a solid growth, also supported by the rise of flights to Mediterranean destinations (Spain, Italy, and Turkey) and the British domestic market. Belgrade airport traffic continues its impressive progression, driven primarily in Q4 by the expansion of Wizz Air's routes to Western Europe.

In Portugal, Porto airport experienced an increase in traffic driven by the growth of low-cost airline offerings and the expansion of transatlantic routes. The strong momentum at Lisbon airport continued, with notable growth in long-haul flights, particularly to Asian and Latin American markets. This long-haul segment also progressed at London Gatwick airport, while domestic traffic in the UK slowed due to the reorganization of low-cost airline offerings. In France, traffic growth at Lyon airport was fueled by international flights to a diverse range of destinations: Germany via Lufthansa, Eastern Europe with Wizz Air, and the Mediterranean region with Transavia and easyJet.

In Latin America and Africa, several airports experienced traffic acceleration this quarter. In Brazil, Salvador de Bahia recorded traffic records in Q4, driven by GOL's expansion and long-haul traffic supported by TAP and Air Europa. The seasonal strengthening of the Air France route between Salvador and Paris CDG also contributed to the increase of capacities during this period. In Mexico, Monterrey airport is maintaining its strong momentum with nearly 10% growth, primarily fueled by Volaris and Viva Aerobus. Growth is also excellent in Costa Rica, where connections to the United States continued to bolster traffic. Meanwhile, airports in Cabo Verde are continuing their upward trend, supported in particular by operations from easyJet and Transavia. New routes to France and the United Kingdom enriched the offerings and complemented growth driven by connections to Portugal.

In Japan, traffic results increased in Q4 despite geopolitical tensions with China, which led to some flight cancellations in December. These events tempered the strong recovery in international traffic observed up until then.

VINCI Airports has completed the expansion and modernisation of the Schengen departure area of Terminal 2 at Lisbon Airport, reinforcing its commitment to service quality and operational efficiency. Inaugurated early January, this latest phase represents an investment of €12 million, bringing the total investment in Terminal 2 to €20 million since 2020.

This project is part of the wider UPGRADE plan, through which more than €300 million of investments are currently underway at Lisbon Airport. These include the creation of a new departure area, Pier Sul, and the expansion of Terminal 1 by an additional 33,000 m², with 10 new boarding gates and a complete redesign of the terminal’s central core.

Terminal 2 at Humberto Delgado Airport now offers more space, more natural light, greater comfort, more seating, a wider range of passenger services and new technological features. The improvements also include the implementation of Biometrics by VINCI Airports technology at all gates, enabling faster, paperless boarding. 

Key features of the renovated Terminal 2 include:

• Expansion of the boarding area with more space and natural light ;
• More seating and charging points for electronic devices ;
• More services for passengers with a wider range of restaurants and shops ;
• Installation of biometric technology at all boarding gates ;
• Greater comfort and better organisation of passenger flows.

VINCI Airports marks a major milestone in Cabo Verde. During a ceremony attended by Prime Minister José Ulisses Correia e Silva, Deputy Prime Minister Olavo Avelino Garcia Correia and Nicolas Notebaert, CEO of Concessions at VINCI and President of VINCI Airports, the completion of the first phase of airport modernization was announced, along the launch of an ambitious new investment program. The objective is to continue supporting air traffic growth and fostering the economic and tourism dynamism of the archipelago.

Since its takeover in 2023, VINCI Airports has significantly strengthened the connectivity of Cabo Verde's airports. This development has resulted in a marked increase in passenger traffic: +60% between 2022 and 2025, notably thanks to the opening of 35 new air routes, including 15 in 2024 and 20 in 2025. The Group's efforts to attract low-cost carriers have made travel more affordable while promoting tourism and improving mobility for Cabo Verde's diaspora.

The completion of the first phase of works (Phase 1A) in 2025, involving substantial investments of €80 million, represents a significant step forward for Cabo Verde's airports. Key achievements include:

• Runway renovations at Sal and São Nicolau airports

• Modernization of passenger spaces and terminals

• Reconfiguration of aircraft parking areas

• Installation of self-service check-in counters

• Deployment of advanced IT solutions

In addition to these operational improvements, Cabo Verde airports have made notable progress in decarbonization under VINCI Airports' environmental strategy. Actions taken include the installation of solar power plants at Sal, Praia, Boa Vista, and São Vicente airports, implementation of oil separators, and replacement of lighting systems with LEDs across several platforms.

VINCI Airports and Cabo Verde Airports are now launching an ambitious new development plan, called Phase 1B, involving €142 million over three years to increase the capacity of airports throughout the archipelago. The project includes terminal expansions, new commercial areas, and important operational improvements such as the runway extension at Boa Vista. From Sal to Praia, Boa Vista, São Vicente, São Filipe, São Nicolau, and Maio, each airport will also benefit from enhanced facilities, such as waste treatment and wastewater processing plants.

This comprehensive program is made possible by a robust and virtuous Public-Private Partnership model. Financing has been solidly structured, with an initial €60 million sustainability-linked loan secured for Phase 1A in 2023. Phase 1B is backed by a new €120 million sustainability-linked loan contributed by IFC, DEG, and EAAIF, with its financial closure completed in December 2025. The shareholders continue to support these developments by providing equity funds, ensuring the sustainability of the investments.

One year after entering in operation, the D4 Via Salis highway has confirmed its positive impact on mobility between Central and South Bohemia. Since its opening, more than 5.3 million vehicles have used the route, benefiting from shorter travel times, improved driving comfort and uninterrupted service, with almost 99% availability and no unplanned closures.

Strong operational performance and service quality 

The highway has reduced travel times by at least 20 minutes between Prague and Písek, while easing congestion on previously overloaded local roads crossing several municipalities.

Operational performance has been a key factor in this success. From the Operations Control Centre in Lety, Via Salis Operations teams monitor traffic in real time and coordinate all interventions, including roadside assistance, incident management, maintenance works and winter services. After twelve months of operation, the D4 has remained fully available to drivers, meeting its objective of safety, reliability and continuity of service.

Service quality has also been recognised beyond operational metrics. The D4 service area, developed in partnership with Shell, was awarded ‘Service Station of the Year’, thanks to its wide range of amenities, including diverse catering options, multiple fuel types and a children’s playground.

Public authorities highlight tangible results on the ground

“Thanks to the D4, traffic in our town has significantly eased over the past year, which is appreciated by all residents, especially families with children.” said Vladimír Vojáček, Mayor of Milín.

A PPP model delivering over the long term

Delivered one month ahead of schedule by VINCI Construction CZ and awarded Construction Project of the Year, the D4 Via Salis highway is the first PPP highway project in the Czech Republic. Its first year of operation demonstrates the long-term relevance of the PPP model, from delivery to operation.

Vía Sumapaz, concessionaire of the Bogotá-Girardot corridor and member of the VINCI Highways network, has opened a new operations control center in Fusagasugá. Strategically located halfway along one of Colombia's busiest roads, this center marks a new stage in the modernization of operations, improving safety, traffic flow, and information for drivers.

The corridor's technological infrastructure has been completely modernized and now includes more than 150 km of optical fiber and an enhanced network of video surveillance cameras, emergency call boxes, and variable message signs displaying real-time information. Four new weather stations complete the system, enabling critical traffic conditions to be anticipated and reported.

From this center, teams manage all monitoring operations in real time and coordinate field interventions: roadside assistance, breakdown services, rescue, inspections, and maintenance. Each year, the concession manages nearly 35,000 assistance operations, or approximately 100 interventions per day, benefiting more than 17 million drivers who use the Bogotá-Girardot corridor.

The commissioning of this control center comes a few months after the completion of extension and modernization works carried out with VINCI Construction, marking Via Sumapaz's entry into full operation. Concrete environmental measures accompany the opening of the new operational center, including the gradual electrification of the fleet, the installation of LED lighting, and solar energy production.

Salvador Bahia Airport, part of VINCI Airports’ network since 2018, is pioneering Brazil’s aviation decarbonization by becoming the country’s first airport to supply Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for commercial operations. Regular use of SAF begins this November. This marks a significant milestone for the airport and for VINCI Airports’ commitment to accelerating the energy transition across its mobility infrastructure and with its stakeholders.

Salvador Bahia Airport already stands as a regional benchmark for environmental performance. As the first airport in the Americas to achieve the highest level of Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA 5), it has implemented advanced practices for carbon management and reduction. Today, more than 15 airports across our network already offer SAF, and the introduction of this fuel into regular operations in Salvador further strengthens this position and aligns with decarbonization goals across the VINCI Airports network.

In Brazil, SAF is distributed commercially by Vibra. The fuel blend used at Salvador complies with international sustainability criteria and can help lower lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional jet fuel.

Two daily flights departing from Salvador Bahia and operated by Gol Linhas Aéreas and LATAM Airlines Brasil are now supplied with SAF. They use a blend containing 10% pure SAF and 90% conventional jet fuel, currently the highest proportion applied in Brazilian aviation. The pure SAF, produced from used cooking oil, is presently the only one available on the national market. While emissions from flights fall under airlines’ scope 1 and the airport’s scope 3, this renewable fuel contributes to reducing lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional jet fuel. Its introduction at Salvador Bahia Airport represents a concrete first step in expanding SAF use in Brazil’s aviation sector and supporting more sustainable operational praactices.

Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues highlights that Bahia is already one of the most advanced states in the country in green technologies, especially in the automotive, renewable energy, and emerging industry sectors. 

“Bahia has made significant progress in clean energy production and in building a more sustainable future, where development and social justice move forward together,” said the governor. “During our participation in COP30, we made clear that the Bahia government is aligned with Brazil’s stance on the shared responsibility we all have in the face of the climate crisis,” he added.

Julio Ribas, CEO of VINCI Airports in Brazil, which operates Salvador Bahia Airport (and seven airports in the Amazonia), highlights that the regular use of SAF represents another decisive step toward sustainable aviation in Brazil:

Being able to offer flights fueled with SAF in Salvador on a continuous basis places Bahia at the forefront of the energy transition and reinforces our commitment to transforming passenger journeys with increasingly sustainable solutions.”

The last section of the Patras-Pyrgos highway opened today in the presence of Christos Dimas, Greek Minister of Transport and Infrastructure. This milestone marks a new step in Greece’s strategy of expanding its national road network through the concession model, which drives the modernization and connectivity of the country.

As part of the integration of this new section into the existing Olympia Odos concession, VINCI Highways and its partners¹ were in charge of the design, financing and program management of the 75-kilometer corridor and will operate it until 2044. This approach enabled the Greek State to accelerate delivery while ensuring a consistent operational standard across the network.

This €331M investment transforms the former national road into a modern, safe and efficient highway. The new corridor improves travel times, strengthens road safety and enhances access to key destinations in Western Peloponnese. New technologies including fully automated tolling, EV charging and upcoming solar-powered operations, contribute to better service quality and environmental performance.

The opening of Patras–Pyrgos comes as the Greek Government assesses the next phase of network development, including the potential extension from Pyrgos to Tsakona. VINCI Highways, a long-term partner of Greece and the country’s leading international highway operator, remains fully committed to supporting the Government in this next strategic step.

Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Nikos Tachiaos said: "I have repeatedly stated that concessions are the most important tool for completing major roads and highways. Today confirms this in concrete terms: the Patras-Pyrgos highway has been delivered in record time, with the remaining section completed quickly after the delivery of the previous one."
